Michael Winter

Founder & Managing Partner

With over 15 years of experience in investing and capital markets, Michael has built a strong track record in both public and private investments across the capital structure.

Michael Winter is the Founder and Managing Partner of Torrey Pines Capital Management. Prior to starting the company, Michael spent over a decade in various principal investing roles at Citadel, Carlson Capital and ECP where he focused on public and private investment opportunities across the capital structure.

Michael leads Torrey Pines’ private credit efforts and is the head of the firm’s investment committee. Michael maintains deep relationships across multiple niche, uncorrelated asset market verticals including real estate, spirits, sports, music and entertainment.

Michael holds a BS in Finance and Accounting, with Honors, from Boston College. He resides in Austin, TX, with his wife and two sons. In his free time, he enjoys reading, fitness, gardening, and hunting.
